TtT is on the move! Some events have changed location.
Events to be held at City Hts. Free School have been moved to:
Ant Hill Collective – 335 27th Street
in beautiful Grant Hill.
The schedule of events had been updated to reflect this change.
Events at San Diego City College have not been effected by this move, and will occur as scheduled.
Registration is now open for the Radical Education Summit 2012!
While you do not have to register to attend skillshares and events, it would be nice to have a headcount. By registering, you also get access to “My Schedule,” where you can add to and track skillshares.
Registration is simple. Choose a class, enter your name and email and your login and password will be emailed to you. If you prefer to register anonymously, leave all fields blank, submit the form to us that way.
Applications for Skillshares will close at 11:59pm Tuesday, July 10th. If you’ve been waiting to apply to be a facilitator, the time is now.
The full schedule will be published shortly after the deadline.
Radical Education Summit begins July 16!
Skillshare proposals now being accepted!
WHAT: The Radical Education Summit focuses on directly challenging the educational, economic, and social systems that oppress and divide our communities. Standing in alliance with struggles that uphold collective liberation and cooperation, we recognize such struggles are rooted in racial, gender, economic, environmental and disability justice; trans and queer liberations; anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist politics. We hope to develop a foundation for vibrant alternatives to those systems and safe places for them to thrive. The Radical Education Summit works towards not only celebrating alternative forms of education, but also blurring the lines between teacher and student. We recognize such lines become irrelevant when one makes the choice to become a life-long learner, accepting and seeking education in every form possible. This conference is an opportunity to learn from each other and share what we know, to foster communities of mutual support and autonomy.
WHEN: July 16th-July 26th
WHERE: Summit Skillshare Blocks at San Diego City College M-Th from 10-11:30am and 12:30-2pm or at the City Heights Free School 6-9pm
HOW TO GET INVOLVED: Do you have unique skills, knowledge or a project you are passionate about? If you have a skill share idea that focuses on community building, do-it-yourself culture, and creating a new beautiful better world, propose it! Getting involved is easy. If you are interested in participating in the summit or you would like to facilitate a skill share, visit our website and simply submit the proposal form! Proposals are due by July 9th, so don’t wait! Be part of the Education Uproar!
